Background

The Coast Guard Auxiliary(CgAux) is the volunteer sector of the United States Coast Guard. They work directly with the citizens who choose to exercise their nautical rights. The CGAux offers many different courses you can take if you decide to become a member. 

Some of these courses include-

  • Teaching courses, which allows members to visit local schools to teach children about maritime safety and responsibility. 

  • Running tables at boating show to teach avid boaters and fisherman about maritime safety

  • Patrol local harbors to ensure people are not disobeying the rules, and

  • Providing to help to the Coast Guard whenever they need it.
